Who We Are
SOECA is the leading umbrella body uniting creative professionals across Ekiti State. Established on September 19, 2016, under the Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture, we are dedicated to promoting, protecting, and advancing the arts, culture, and creative economy in Ekiti and beyond.
Through advocacy, empowerment, and collaborative programs, SOECA supports diverse creative clusters and inspires new generations of artists and cultural ambassadors.
What We Do

—Advocacy & Policy Influence
SOECA serves as a lobby and advocacy body representing the interests of artists, cultural practitioners, and creative entrepreneurs. We work with government agencies, private organizations, and international partners to create favorable policies and opportunities for our members.

We organize workshops, masterclasses, scholarships, and mentorship programs to build capacity and empower practitioners across different creative fields.

— Promotion & Exposure
From exhibitions to local and international festivals, we showcase and promote our members’ works, fostering growth and wider recognition.

We identify and honor outstanding contributions to the arts, culture, and media through awards, endowments, and special recognitions, including posthumous honors.

— Research & Cultural Preservation
SOECA conducts research projects and educational initiatives aimed at preserving and revitalizing Ekiti’s unique cultural expressions and creative heritage.

Maiden World Art Day 2025 Commemoration in Ekiti State
The Society of Ekiti State Creative Artists ( SOECA) was constituted with an aim to harmonize, co-ordinate and champion the interest of all clusters within the creative economy in the State.
THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ADO EKITI, DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN FETES SOECA.
Earlier today, the official delegation Society of Ekiti State Creative Artists (SOECA) and a retinue of the Society of Nigeria Artists (SNA) paid a courtesy call to the Acting HOD, Mrs Funmilola Ajayi, the staff and students of The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Department of Arts and Industrial Design.
